Originally the second part of the album title track, Melas was what I pictured to be the 'boss fight' music in a game I would play on an old GameBoy. As I was turning this song into its own thing, away from Mars, I thought about making a storyline and turning this into its own project. That didn't work out :)

Instead, I used a public domain audiobook of The Martian by Alec Rowley Hilliar and Allen Glasser - narrated by Paul Harvey. Took a few pieces from the audio and viola.
